The Friday Mashup Challenge 94

This was certainly a challenge for me this week
and at first glance I was a bit unsure to enter or not.
I think the idea of the snake put me off.
But after some ideas and lots of thought I
came up with the card below.
So here is the "Mashup" Challenge:
  1. Make a project with a "Chinese New Year (Year of the Snake) Theme".
  2. Or Make a project using the "Paper Lantern Technique".
  3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a project for the "Chinese New Year featuring the Paper Lantern Technique".
I choose the Paper Lantern Technique.

Readers Gallery Vol 19 No 2

I have also had this card published in the same
Volume of Australian Cardmaking Stamping & Papercraft
magazine in the Readers Gallery.
All products are Stampin Up.
It is always so exciting for your work to be chosen
and shared around the nation.

On the Cover of the Australian Cardmaking Stamping & Papercraft

I was very excited to have a group of cards chosen
to appear in the Australian Cardmaking Stampin & Papercraft
magazine. To my surprise and absolute delight 1 of the cards
has been chosen for the cover of the magazine.
Even more so I have and always have had a love
of vintage tea cups and to see my cards displayed
with the tea cups was a real joy.
Let's just say when the postman delivered the magazine
there was alot of squeals and excitement.
Vol 19 No2 out soon.

the Friday Mashup challenge 93

here is the "Mashup" Challenge:
  1. 1. Make a project with a "Birthday Theme".
  2. 2. Or Make a project using "Brads".
  3. 3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a "Birthday project with some brads".
Here is the card I came up with for this week's challenge.
I kept the card very simple and I thought it would be a great
card for a boy's birthday, which I rarely make so that
was a challenge in itself.

A Requested Card

Recently I was asked to make a birthday card in blue tones.
Out of all the Stampin Up blues I really like using
Baja Breeze and it has worked in well with some new
DSP that will be available soon for
Stampin Up's Sale A Bration.
The ribbon and brad are also new and available soon.
I have used a new large clear rhinestone on the brad.

Card with matching envelope.

The Friday Mashup Challenge 92

Here is the "Mashup" Challenge:
1.       Make a project using "Different Patterns".
Or 2.  Make a project with the three or more colors from "Summer Starfruit,
Tangerine Tango, Island Indigo, Early Espresso and Sahara Sand".
Or 3. "Mash it Up" and create a "Patterned Project with the Challenge Colors".

I went for Number 3 and "Mashed it up".
Way out of my comfort zone with these colours
but thoroughly enjoyed the challenge.

20th Wedding Anniversary

I made this card for my husband for our
20Th wedding anniversary.
I love old music paper to use for craft projects
and a while ago my dear husband came home
with a pile of sheets for me.
So I thought I would incorporate the paper
into his card. I used Stampin Up's Crumb Cake
and Raspberry Ripple cardstock.
I cut the hearts out with Stampin Up's
Framelits Hearts Collection.
I added the little heart bling for that something something.

Birthday Card with New Stampin Up Product

My 1st Birthday card for the year.
I have made this card for my mother in law.
There are new Stampin Up products on there.
All these products are what I love so I can see myself
making many birthday cards this year with similar products.
All products Stampin Up.

Gifted Secret Santa Gift

Here is my secret Santa gift I posted off.
http://isaidyesdear.blogspot.com.au/p/give-take.html
Give and Take is a gift swap initiative operated in a secret Santa style.
All gifts given had to be purchased from a handmade maker
operating out of New Zealand or Australia.

Handmade card

I was so pleased how this envelope turned out so much nicer in real life.

The gifts. Inside the box is a beautiful pair of rose earrings from here,
http://www.simonewalsh.com/
they are truly stunning.

Stampin Up Clear Mount Stamp Case Card Gift Set

I have made this card gift set using Stampin Up's
Clear mount stamp case. I have used Stampin Up's
Comfort Cafe DSP to place inside the cover and as
the paper is double sided it covers the outside
and inside of the case. Which makes decorating the
case quick and easy. I made two pockets to adhere to the inside
of the case and added envelopes on one side and 5 cards
on the other. I thought this
would be a great go to set when you need a
Happy Birthday card for short notice.

Reader's Gallery C,S & Papercraft Magazine

In this month's Cardmaking Stamping & Papercraft magazine,
Vol 19 No 1, I have had a card published in the Reader's Gallery.
The stamp set I used has been retired, Flower Fest Stampin Up
and was one of my favourites.
The outline of the stamps allowed a lot of scope to create with.
