Not So Traditional

I had to decide what to pack for our Team Stamping day
last Saturday and although I wanted to pack everything
because you just don't know if you would need it, I had
to think of a plan. So I packed light, just a few colours, stamps
and punches. I worked on Christmas cards for the Troops.
I don't normally put butterflies on Christmas cards but I love
this new stamp set, that is being released soon, 1st of September.
I now have 20 Christmas cards in my stash.

Card In A Box

At our team stamping day we had the choice of
making a card to share with the group and everything
required to complete the card had to fit into a shoe box.
It was a fantastic idea as we were able to make cards
and use products without having to put the thought
into the design.

Nerida's Card
I don't own this punch so it was great to make a
card using this. Also there is a sneak peek of a
new stamp set that is coming soon.

Linda's Card.
I really enjoyed using the embossing powder on the sentiment
and love the vintage look of this card.

Also Linda's card and a treat but the treat is gone.

Team Stamping Day

I had a great time yesterday catching up with
my friends that i have meet through Stampin Up.
It was nice to sit and chat and create.
I can't believe i actually made cards and
finished them and still had time to chat.

This is the card I made for the card-in-a-box swap.

The box I decorated.

I stepped up this card with some bling.
It just adds that little extra something.

Love the Vintage Look

I love all the Stampin Up products on this card
and they are my go to products for most of my
projects. So with the new catalogue loomimg,
the 1st of September 2012
and with the Stampin Up Retiring list coming out
in a few days, the 1st of August, i worry what
favourite products will be going. But I am
sure I will find more products to make favourites.

Birthday Wishes

In this month's Australian Cardmaking,
Stamping & Papercraft magazine I have had
the card below published in the Reader's Gallery.
I really enjoyed making this card and colouring in the image.
I am very pleased to see it in print.

Baker's Twine Vintage Tags

I have added some Stampin Up Early Espresso Baker's Twine
to these tags to give them extra texture and to add a
focal point on the tag. I punched out a shape using Stampin Up's
punches and I then placed adhesive onto the back of the tag.
I added the twine in a repetitive manner forward and back across the
punched out hole. I then placed another tag onto the back to hide the
twine and to give the tag more structure.

Here are some pics from the beautiful Hunter Valley.
We never tire of visiting this area, any season.
We had a wonderful time hanging out by the fire
and recharging our batteries before another school term begins.

If you look really hard there are some Kangaroos in this photo.

Embossed Birdie

I was trying to come up with a project for our next Stamp Club
and i put together a great project using Stampin Up's Bird Die.
Then i realized that Stampin Up's Autumn/Winter Mini will be
no longer after the end of this month. I fall in love with all the products
in the mini it is hard to say good bye.
So i am going to have to come up with something different.
I didn't want to waste my birds so here is a card I came up with.
All products are Stampin Up.

Here are some pictures of the candles we have been making these school holidays.
I love having candles on, in winter especially.
We collected some beautiful old and new glass and filled them with
soy French Vanilla wax, it was such a fun process.
The bonus is our home smells wonderful of French Vanilla.
Now to find places for all these lovelies.
I will be back soon with some pics of our school holiday
break in the Hunter Valley.

Love Crumb Cake

Stampin Up's Crumb Cake cardstock is my favourite.
It can be used in anyway and with any colour scheme.
It is always on my Stampin Up orders as you can never have enough.
You can dress it up, add depth with shade, use it only with a little colour.
This card came together at no time at all.
I have scored the bottom of the Whisper White for texture.
I rolled the music notes across, added a sentiment and some twine
and it was all finished. Simple but makes a statement.

Happy Butterflys

I made this card for Gemma's birthday.
I like the happy feel of this card with the pretty
pastel colours and the flourish.
