Bits from my Desk

I have found myself extremely time poor of late but
I still have the need to create to keep me sane.
I made this card in a little under 15 minutes as all
the bits and pieces were sitting around on my desk.
All products used are Stampin Up.

Cheerful & Bright

The following card I made to be bright and bold.
My niece is home from hospital after two weeks
and i wanted to send her a card to brighten her day.
I have recently discovered knitting and i knitted
her a scarf and took that into hospital so she could
have something nice and new to wear if she was cold.
She still has a way to go but is so happy to be home.
With school holidays just around the corner I am looking
forward to catching up with her and her brothers.

New Zealand Holiday Snaps

I recently had a fantastic time in New Zealand.
We had a great holiday visiting Auckland on the north island.
We had a week of sightseeing and we didn't stop
and I am still trying to catch up on sleep.

Skycity Tower & Casino.
We had dinner at the Casino.
I had never been to a casino before and i loved all the
lights and atmosphere.

We had great weather and it was no where as near as cold as we thought it might be.

Auckland City from the harbour.

Looking back to Auckland from Devonport.
I loved Devonport for the shopping, lots of unique shops.

How excited was I! I am a huge magazine junkie so I loved this shop.
I limited myself to magazines from NZ and I was hugely impressed.

Scenery shots from around Auckland.

We visited Auckland Zoo, loved this. Huge highlight of the trip.
Such a fantastic Zoo and so clean.
Below is a photo of the Kiwi. I was surprised to see how big they actually are.

We flew Emirates. On a A380. What can I say! Super impressed and would
never fly with anyone else if I had my way. I do not like travelling
on planes but my anxiety was no where near as bad flying with Emirates.

Bollywood Stamp A Stack

Last night I held a class making the following cards.
There were a few steps to putting these cards together
and at the end of the night all the ladies were very
pleased with their cards.
Thanks ladies for a great night.

Thanks So Much

These are the cards I have made to go in with this month's
Stamp Club orders.

I have come home today from the Craft & Quilt Fair with lots
of inspiring ideas and if only I had the time to learn how
to make a quilt. The quilts are amazing. It's so great to see
what is going on in the craft world. It is on all weekend
at Darling Harbour Exhibition center.

I have been inspired to make the following cards
from the Festive Friday challenge.
I was inspired by all the cards and took inspiration
from this and that card to create these cards.

A Design I Like

These cards came together with inspiration from here and there
and then a little of me added to the design.
I really liked how the first card turned out and so I decided
to keep going with a few more.

I made this card for Denise.
Happy Birthday.

The Birthday Celebration

Recently we celebrated a Birthday and here a few ideas
I came up with for the party.

Lolly Cones

A Pennant for the birthday girl.

  Party Table.

The Birthday Card

As you know I really enjoy making cards,
it's more therapy than anything else as I
can get some peace and quite in my own space.
But it's really nice also when others appreciate and admire
your work. My son asked me to make this card and in
his words, "all my friends dig your cards so can you please
make one for me". This is for his girlfriend so i had thought he
might like to buy one so he could pick it out.
It felt really good to know he wanted one of my cards.

Rue de Fleurs

Recently we had Jen from Pink Lily Photography
take some family shots. I thought it might be the last time
my teenage children would agree to family photos.
The photos are fantastic and now I have plenty of photos to
scrapbook and work with for Christmas presents.
It's a good time of the year as it gives me plenty of time
to sort through the photos and work on handmade gifts.
Jen has a great deal for winter and the cold morning was so worth the effort.
I have a card to share.
I finally got around to inking up my Rue de Fleurs stamp set.

Thanks for the Inspiration

I really love the card that Karen Cummings made here
and below is my version of Karen's card.
I still like Karen's better and i really like this design so
I might have to give it another go and see what I can come up with.
Thanks Karen for the inspiration.

May Stamp Club

This is the card set we made at this months Stamp Club.
Jo was the hostess and she wanted to create something
using Stampin Up's Tea Shoppe stamp set.
We made a Card Tote, which can also be used as a gift bag.
We also made two fancy fold cards.
One being an Easel card and the other being a side fold card.
We all had a great night and Jo even made us a treat to match
in with the Tea Shoppe stamp set.

The Card Tote.
I was inspired to make this from Ellen's Blog,
which you can find on the right sidebar.

Easel Fold card.

This is the oh so sweet treat that Jo made.
She made a whole platter of these gorgeous little tea cups.
