Inspiration

The last day of the month today, wow, where did that go?
Kids back to school and here comes Routine.
Sometimes ideas just popped into your head and others it takes awhile.
Well it was taking awhile as i sat at my desk deciding which way to go and then i looked around my desk and spotted this little decoration i have sitting there.
Well, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and Chocolate Chip came into mind .
Below is the inspiration for the following cards.

I only used one cardstock for this card, Very Vanilla. I normally always layer.
But i was surprised at how much i liked the simplicity and it only took me 5 minutes to make once i had sorted out what i was doing.
On this card i used Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake cardstock and again it didn't take long to make.
This card did take a little bit longer, well, alot longer because of the fancy cutting.
I popped dimensionals onto the cut out image and raised it off the card.
A few more layers of cardstock and stamped the Sanded background stamp on all layers.
A bigger butterfly but it adds something different.
I was only going to make one card but then the process started and i wanted to see how different it could look.

Square Card

I made this card square for a change. I have added dimension to the tree by using dimensionals.
Its been so hot i have taken this photo inside so the light is not so good.
I used inks and markers to get lots of colours on the tree.

Altered Coasters

I will be getting a new coffee table soon and i had these old coasters that needed altering.
I sanded the surface, covered the top in Newspaper DSP, stamped a few images onto the paper, lightly dry brushed paint over the top to soften the look, inked the edges, painted the edges and covered the whole image in Crystal Effects. The stamped images ran a little but when all dry it added to the effect i was after.

The coasters before, picked up at a discount store years ago.

The coasters after.

Happy Anniversary

I have made this card for my husband, it will be our 18th Wedding Anniversary soon, where does the time go? I used the Distressing Kit,Artistic Etchings stamp set, some Newspaper Print DSP, hemp twine and the cute heart punch.
I have placed the card onto the envelope i also stamped, so the base of the card is Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy and Very Vanilla. I enjoyed making this card. I started off not knowing which way to go and ended up just adding and adding and screwing up pieces of paper and sponging.
I also went to town on the inside with more stamping, sponging but i wrote on it before taking a photo and i am sure you don't want to read mushy, lovy stuff.

Time to Create

I have taken time out today to create a few cards.
I have used the Fine Flourish stamp for my butterfly on this card and for the little hearts, they are so cute.
Early Espresso is the base of the card and i have stamped onto Very Vanilla card stock. I haven't really got into using the wide ribbon but i like it on this card, it gives the card alot of texture.
